Itera may lose Minsk City project to another investor
MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) If the company Itera is slow implementing the Minsk City project, another investor will take it over, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the government session held on 13 September to discuss the Minsk City project progress. The press service of the Belarusian head of state quoted Alexander Lukashenko as saying: Deadlines will be shifted no more! No more preferences will be granted. Things will stay the way they are now. If you can build it, go ahead. If you cannot, come and tell us that you cannot build in these conditions, Alexander Lukashenko told Igor Makarov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the international group of companies Itera. The Belarusian head of state said, the project may be offered to other investors, who had expressed their interest. If Makarov cannot build it due to objective reasons, doesnt like it, if the project is unprofitable or something else, give him something he can build. Other investors should build the rest, said the head of state. Keep in mind that the first phase is the end of the year. If nothing has changed in all areas, then a radical decision will have to be made in January, stressed the President. Summing up results of the government session, Alexander Lukashenko said that if Itera is unwilling to continue taking part in the project, in January 2012 new investors will be found that will agree to carry out the Minsk City project in these conditions and in line with the approved plan. Stop feeding me promises! the President of Belarus made it clear.
