Sergeyenko: Union State is developing dynamically despite West's pressure
The regional festival "Youth for Peace and Creation" culminated in the festive concert "We are Young – the Hope of the Country," which drew a full house at the Summer Amphitheater in Vitebsk.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, addressed the youth with a welcoming speech.
– Summer is not only a time for rest and educational trips, but also a period for youth labor achievements. I am glad that today at the festival we are presenting vouchers for a working summer, to prove in practice how strong your aspirations for creation are. The student team movement is one of the best areas of work that the BRSM has inherited from the Komsomol, – noted the head of the Vitebsk region. – 2023 is rich in anniversaries. This year we are celebrating the 85th anniversary of the creation of the Vitebsk region, the 105th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, and the 60th anniversary of the Belarusian Student Teams.
Alexander Mikhailovich emphasized that student teams make a significant contribution to the economy and social sphere of our country. Every year, the youth employment movement grows and expands its areas of activity. Student teams become a real school of life for young people, fostering leadership qualities, an active civic stance, and nurturing true patriots of our Motherland.
The head of the region announced that the construction of a polyclinic in the new district of Orsha has received the status of a regional youth construction project, and wished the young people to continue developing volunteer programs, participating in projects related to the improvement of cities and villages, preserving the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, and creating for the sake of socially useful work.
The First Secretary of the BRSM, Alexander Lukyanov, thanked the regional and city executive committees and the young people for organizing such a large-scale youth festival.
– May this summer be important and memorable for each of you. Use all the opportunities you have today, – the youth leader advised the young men and women.
Vouchers for a working summer were presented to the territorial headquarters of the BRSM student teams by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Durnov, and the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, Vladimir Babichev.
The consolidated student team of the Vitebsk region performed the anthem of the Belarusian Student Teams.
Also, within the framework of the event, a premiere of a song dedicated to the Youth Union took place, performed by the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Aurum."
Creative groups from Vitebsk presented everyone present with vibrant performances and a lot of positive emotions. The headliner of the event was the charming singer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Alena Lanskaya.
