Minsk to host security chiefs of CSTO states on 8 June
The 2023 health resort campaign has started in the Vitebsk region at the "Druzhnye Rebyata" (Friendly Kids) camp, founded by the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth.
Children's chatter, the tart scent of pine needles, and bright sunshine – everything immediately immerses visitors in the pleasant atmosphere of a countryside retreat, where the "Druzhnye Rebyata" health resort camp is located in a picturesque area, 10 kilometers from the regional center. 190 children aged 10 to 15 will rest here during the first shift. These are not only children from the region but also from other regions of Belarus and countries, particularly from Russia, emphasized the camp director Irina Starovoytova. Four health resort shifts will be organized during the summer, and a fifth specialized shift for teenagers will start in mid-August. All inter-season shifts have a specific focus. The current one will be held under the motto "Path to Success" and will contribute to the development of leadership qualities.
The camp has excellent material resources, noted Irina Starovoytova. 60 thousand rubles were allocated from the regional budget for roof repairs and asphalt laying, and the founder's funds were used to purchase televisions, various games, new stadium benches, etc.
Children will spend their holidays in comfortable conditions. They have at their disposal two volleyball courts, a basketball court, a workout area, a children's playground, table tennis equipment... In short, everyone can showcase their abilities in the sport they prefer. In addition, children can expect general camp events with contests, competitions, and quests.
Seventh-graders Timofey Larionov and Ivan Drobysh from Vitebsk met at "Druzhnye Rebyata" last year. They liked the camp so much that they had no doubt they would come back here again. And they did. They are happy to continue their acquaintance. They expect unforgettable experiences from various contests, which, according to them, are fun, interesting, and creative. And when combined with five delicious meals a day, one couldn't dream of a better vacation.
Traditionally, the formed detachments reported their readiness to have fun and healthy rest. A symbolic voucher to summer was presented by a fairy-tale character. The start has been given. Bon voyage, summer holidays!
In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to provide health improvement for over 43,000 children in summer camps. Of these, 17,000 will be in residential camps and over 25,000 in day camps. Special attention is paid to patriotic-oriented camps, of which there are over 100 in the region, three of them are organized on the basis of military units (Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Postavy).
