Minsk, Guangzhou discuss promising cooperation avenues

The sports and cultural festival "Vytoki. Krok da Alimp" will continue in the first summer month in the Vitebsk region.

On June 23 and 24, 2023, the celebration will be hosted by Glubokoye. This city in the Vitebsk region has a rich history and traditions, which will be introduced to representatives of republican and regional mass media during a press tour.

As is known, June 23 is celebrated as International Olympic Day, and it is symbolic that "Vytoki" starts on this very date. On the first day of "Vytoki," a seminar "Current Issues of Athlete Training and Ways to Solve Them" will be held with the participation of specialists from BSUPC and the Higher School of Coaches, as well as specialists from sports organizations of the Gomel region. The Belarusian Olympic Academy will organize its seminar-practice for educators of general secondary education and preschool educational institutions. During its holding, participants will get acquainted with Olympic values and the achievements of Belarusian athletes at the main four-year competitions.

At the "Brigantina" children's playground, an art interactive "Play with Us – Draw Yourself" will take place, organized by the "ArtChaos" gallery. The evening program of the festival opens with the play "That Same Munchausen" by the film actor studio theater. The first day will conclude with a screening of a famous sports film at an open-air cinema.

On June 24, the celebration will continue with the "Kapital Mesta" festival, which will introduce the gastronomic features, order, and rituals of the Vitebsk region. Products of Belarusian enterprises will be presented at the "Belarusian Brands" exhibition-sale. About 500 children under 9 years of age will take part

in the Olympic run.

After the grand opening ceremony, one of the most anticipated activities will begin – the Olympic quest. Anyone under 14 years of age will have the opportunity to participate in sports competitions, test their abilities in various sports, complete tasks, and receive valuable prizes. Activities will be organized at 30 venues in such sports as wrestling, boxing, biathlon, cycling, volleyball, basketball, athletics, rifle shooting, weightlifting, table tennis, equestrian sports, karate, ice hockey, fire and rescue sports, archery, tennis, handball, kayaking and canoeing, mini-golf, a breakdance tournament, and other activities await participants.

At "Vytoki" a new interesting location will be presented – "Games of Our Courtyard". Participants will be offered to complete 5 quest stages – "elastic band", "hopscotch", "potato", slingshot shooting, and others, for which they can receive memorable souvenirs from the organizers.

Also, in Glubokoye, the final of the regional stage of the new intellectual and educational project "Vytoki. Quiz" will be held. The project will continue in each of the cities where "Vytoki-2023" will take place.

In addition, guests of the festival will be presented with the "Rodnae-Modnae" clothing collection from Belarusian enterprises, designers, and entrepreneurs.

This year, a new song lyrics contest "Vershy pra halounae" is being held as part of the "Vytoki" cultural program. The jury has already determined the winner in the Vitebsk region. A professional composer will write a song based on the author's lyrics, which will be performed at the festival.

The festival program in Glubokoye will continue on June 24 with an evening gala concert featuring popular Belarusian pop artists. At the end of the celebration, a colorful fireworks display and a disco await everyone.

The sports and cultural festival "Vytoki" will continue in Kostyukovichi (August 18-19), Borisov (August 25-26).

• According to the organizers, over 206,300 people have participated in the festival over two years.
• The most large-scale event of the festival was the Olympic quest – 64,200 participants.
• Young participants of the celebration received more than 35,000 prizes.
• The most large-scale quest was the sports competition in Rechitsa, where about 7,000 children tried themselves in various sports.
• In 2022, the "Rodnae-Modnae" fashion show was held at the festival.
• More than 20 Belarusian enterprises were able to present their products within the project.
• It is difficult to imagine "Vytoki" without the competition of young vocalists, in which more than 550 young artists took part.
