Minister: BelNPP welcomes 3,500 visitors as part of tours in 2022

The event was attended by chairmen of city and district executive committees – heads of territorial defense districts, heads of internal affairs bodies, and other officials involved in solving the tasks of territorial defense of the region.

As noted by the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Anatoly Linevich, in the past year, the main efforts were focused on improving the efficiency of the territorial defense management system, as well as the training level of officials of management bodies and local executive committees responsible for territorial defense in the districts, taking into account the developing military-political situation. – Today, the task is to carry out a set of organizational measures for the formation of the people's militia and its provision, – emphasized Anatoly Linevich.

According to the military commissar of the Vitebsk region, Colonel Ruslan Shkodin, 79 training events were held in 2023, and all assigned tasks were successfully completed. Thus, in August-September, a training assembly with conscripts in regular positions in the formation area was held in the Polotsk district, as well as an exercise with the territorial defense forces of the district. Within the framework of the assembly, the procedure for the application of the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora and the people's militia detachment for the fulfillment of territorial defense tasks was tested.

– Officials of the executive committees of the region, cities, and districts are doing everything necessary to ensure that territorial defense is not just words, but that the created system for training territorial defense management bodies and territorial troops units is effective and diverse. Summing up the year, we can confidently say that the territorial defense of the region is developing in the right direction, officials are adopting best practices in training, and actively participating in improving the legislative and material base, – noted the regional military commissar, adding that in 2024 the intensity of events will be increased.
At the end of the academic year summary, an award ceremony was held for the most distinguished officials. Among the best regions in the complex of territorial defense issues were the Polotsk and Orsha districts.
