Kubrakov: Belarus is ready to share competences, equipment with Zimbabwe

A new development by Belarusian scientists will be implemented for the first time in our country at the RUE "Ustye" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" in the Orsha district.

The feed production line for all groups of cattle is an innovative project of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the Mechanization of Agriculture. Its installation began in June 2023, and commissioning work is already underway today.

The line's capacity is 4 tons of finished feed per hour. This includes the capability to produce extruded feed, which significantly reduces financial costs and increases profits. It is particularly beneficial for young cattle.

– The line is fully automated and will be operated by 2 people. Thanks to the launch of new production, we will fully provide our own herd with high-quality feed, – noted Dmitry Batyukov, Director of the RUE "Ustye" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". – They will be prepared for each group of animals according to the recipes of scientists from the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Animal Husbandry.

In total, the enterprise has 4,600 head of cattle. 970 head of the entire dairy herd are purebred Red Danish cows. In total, there are 2,100 head of this productive breed.

By the way, a closed-cycle dairy complex is another innovative project of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the region. Thanks to its implementation, the enterprise is already producing the best livestock products not only in the region but also in the country. Unique conditions have been created here for conducting scientific experiments to develop promising technologies in dairy cattle breeding. The Red Danish breed of cows is not a tribute to fashion, but a scientifically and economically justified investment project. Currently, the milk yield per cow at the dairy complex is 18.5 liters. This is a 115% increase compared to the 2022 level. The average fat content in milk is 4.8%, and protein content is 3.27%. Average daily weight gain of calves reaches one thousand grams. Now, there are plans to select a group of cows whose special A2 milk will be used in the production of premium products. This is particularly relevant in the Year of Quality.

Now, the main task of the enterprise is to move forward with giant strides, utilizing its potential and keeping pace with science.
