The school plans to train young people aged 14 to 30 who want to become professionals in this field. "The technopark's IT center is a point of attraction for all IT specialists in Vitebsk and the region. Imagine: a whole building was constructed with budget funds, reconstruction was carried out. Br6.5 million was invested here. All partitions were completely removed, only the shell and walls were left. Then new walls, premises, water supply, sewage, lighting systems, and so on were built from scratch. Now we are in a completely new building, ready for opening," said Mikhail Keizerov, director of the "Law and Order" technopark.
The coworking center will attract freelancers - specialists in modern creative and innovative professions. There were no coworking centers in Vitebsk and the region before, the head of the technopark added. "When young people come here, they start communicating, they come up with joint projects. Then they come to me and ask for premises, inquire about how the state can help," he explained the algorithm of actions. "IT companies are located here, ready to hire the young people."
Together with Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov (VSU), a branch of the Department of Mathematics and Information Technologies will be opened on these premises. Its main purpose is to conduct practical training at the site of specialists in information product development. Students will be able to study without interrupting their work, and local IT companies will be able to train qualified personnel for themselves. As explained by the university's rector, Valentina Bogatyreva, by the third year, almost all students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies already have a place of employment.
"One of the new specialties at the university is "IT Medicine," another very interesting specialty is "Information Technology Software," a classic in this field. Therefore, the creation of a department branch is an opportunity for practice-oriented specialist training. The university already has seven such laboratories with residents of the Hi-Tech Park and more than 50 department branches in total across all specialties. Thus, befriending the technopark is a great prospect for us, including in the field of joint developments with the People's Republic of China (about 1,000 students from China study at the university. - BELTA's note)," the rector emphasized. - Today, our students and teachers are preparing many exciting projects. Among the most interesting are seven projects in the field of medicine, many of which have already passed or are undergoing certification for author's certificates."
"The opening of the IT center in the incubator technopark "Law and Order" is dictated by life itself. We need to move forward, develop innovations, including in the IT sector, new software for the development of the real sector of the economy. First of all, we expect a concentration of talented people from the IT industry here and the creation of new software products. For this, we have partners - our universities, entrepreneurship support centers, and enterprises interested in creating new jobs to implement innovations in the real sector of the economy," added Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Anzhelika Nikitina.
Chinese partners will provide the IT center with a large scope of work. The initial investment volume, as specified by Mikhail Keyzerov, is $2 million.
