Belarus, Uzbekistan to strengthen cooperation in pharmaceutics
Issues of the upcoming elections of deputies, the development of industrial enterprises, science, education, the region and the country as a whole were discussed during a meeting between Presidential Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Sergey Levkovich and the student leadership of the Vitebsk Order of Honour State Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
During the tour, the Presidential Aide familiarized himself with the work of the academy. Then he joined the regional civil-patriotic marathon "#United", which started on February 6, the republican campaign "Rodnoye-Narodnoye" and the youth information and educational project "Pashthouka.BEL". A flyer with an invitation to participate in the elections, signed by Sergey Levkovich, will be sent to one of the university students.
In the Vitebsk region, "Pashthouka.BEL" has generated great interest among both young people and representatives of the older generation. Some even asked to send several cards. On the first day alone, residents of the region wrote over 800 invitation postcards, many of which will be sent to recipients in other regions of the country.
Students' pressing issues were discussed at the open dialogue "Youth Perspective. Elections", where Sergey Levkovich acted as an expert. He noted that all conditions are created in the country for the self-realization of young people, outlined successful areas and spheres that require improvement in the Vitebsk region.
On the eve of the unified voting day, young people were interested in the requirements for candidates for deputies and how to decide who to vote for. Sergey Levkovich advised them to carefully read the candidates' programs and listen to their speeches, find the rational kernel and compare it with their own vision for the country's development. He noted that it is important for candidates for deputies to be active: to approach voters and demonstrate their achievements.
"Elections are a very exciting and responsible moment, which depends, among other things, on each of us. I believe that every candidacy has value, and we must choose, and make this choice in favor of the best," said Vadim Filippov, a third-year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. "In the future, today's youth will hold leadership positions in industry, agriculture, or other fields, so it is important for us to get involved in this process. I think choosing a candidate will be the first step towards a successful future." The young man shared that he will be voting for the first time as an elector.

In any election campaign, the most important thing is people's participation in elections, and especially young people, emphasized Sergey Levkovich. "The student community consists of people who are voting for the first or second time in their lives. The main thing is that they come and understand the importance of participating in this process and in no case remain on the sidelines of the country's political life. Today, we must instill this in them so that they understand and are always interested in political life, draw correct conclusions from the flow of information in a highly developed information space. So that our youth correctly navigate the information space and are ready to draw their own correct conclusions. And, of course, the right choice, which will be based on the country's continuous development. If the sense of patriotism always unites (both the young and the older generation), then, I am sure, our country is not threatened by anything," emphasized Sergey Levkovich.
The regional civil-patriotic marathon "#United" was launched in the Vitebsk region on February 6. It includes open dialogues on the topic of the youth's perspective on elections, legal games, and the republican projects "Citizen's Alphabet. Version 4.0" and "Native-National". The marathon will last until February 24.
