The large-scale regional seminar discussed how to comply with modern requirements for organizing labor protection work in 2024, taking into account the latest legislative changes.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov recalled that the additional social guarantee – exemption of employees during medical examinations with retention of average earnings, which appeared in the Labor Code from January 1 this year, is not accidental.

Due to the presence of advanced diseases in employees in recent years, about 60 people died at work, and 79 last year. Creating additional conditions for examination is one of the measures to prevent the development of chronic diseases and mortality.

Svetlana Gurieva, head of branch No. 1 of the Vitebsk City Polyclinic No. 1, spoke in detail about the procedure for conducting medical examinations of the adult and child population.

Sergey Anufriev, First Deputy Head of the Regional Department of the State Labor Inspectorate Department, explained the changes in the Rules for the Investigation and Accounting of Industrial Accidents and Occupational Diseases.
