Students from 8 countries seek to take part in Grace International contest in Vitebsk
The agenda of the first session of the Regional Council of Deputies included several issues, including the election of the head of the regional deputy corps and his deputy, and standing commissions.
On the proposal of deputies Igor Isachenko, Oleg Zhingel, Vladimir Matveev, Valentina Bogatyreva, the candidacy of Dmitry Demidov was proposed. They noted that they know him from joint work. They noted his high professionalism and the deserved authority he enjoys among colleagues and people. And being the chairman of the Novopolotsk city executive committee, Dmitry Demidov made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the city and the region as a whole, initiating a large-scale re-equipment of chemical industry giants. Novopolotsk, as Oleg Zhingel noted, is a center of attraction for investments. Professionalism, intelligence, integrity are the qualities that help to manage both at the macro and micro levels, rationally using budget money, noted Valentina Bogatyreva.
Dmitry Demidov was unanimously elected head of the deputy corps, and Irina Levkovich was elected his deputy on a voluntary basis.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin noted that the deputy corps represents a well-coordinated team of professional, experienced people who will write the history of the Vitebsk region.
