Minister: Promising agro-towns in Belarus will be as comfortable as cities

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, and Chairman of the City Executive Committee Gennady Sabinich, after working at the community clean-up event, visited the most significant construction sites in the city.

Among the first was the construction site of the surgical building of the Vitebsk Regional Hospital. This project, although not among those announced for the Forum of Regions, is the largest and most socially significant for the northern region of Belarus.

The working group also visited the Vitebsk Airport, assessed the progress of reconstruction work on Victory Square, the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, the Summer Amphitheater, and the "Vitebsk" Hotel.

Alexander Subbotin, speaking about the readiness of the hotel, noted that all work is being carried out according to the deadlines that the regional and city authorities had previously set.

- We are on schedule, but the process is intensive. According to the plans, the facility was supposed to be completed in a year and a half, but we aim to finish it in 6-7 months. Therefore, we are attracting more people and organizing work in multiple shifts.

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee emphasized that there are many construction sites in Vitebsk currently. Each of them requires attention and the resolution of additional issues, which were not accounted for either during the design phase or at the direct commencement of work. However, even despite some challenges, the head of the region is confident that Vitebsk will be fully prepared for the Forum of Regions.

- The Forum is a celebration and a grand event for our wonderful city and for the Union State. It will become a starting point for further development and for bringing order at a more intensive pace. We will definitely make Vitebsk better, more beautiful, and cozier.
