Days of Minsk kick off at VDNKh in Moscow
Sergey Khomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, and Yuri Vorobyev, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, held a joint meeting of the Belarusian and Russian organizing committees for the preparation and holding of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, less than three weeks before its opening.
But first, the participants of the meeting visited the main facilities that will be involved in this large-scale event. The first location is Vitebsk Airport, which is preparing to welcome guests. Significant changes have taken place here, and, as assured by Sergey Ruris, head of the Vitebsk branch of RUP "Belaeronavigation," all those arriving at the Forum by air will immediately feel the hospitality of the Vitebsk land.
Members of the organizing committee also visited the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, where the plenary session will be held, the Summer Amphitheater, and Victory Square. They familiarized themselves with the readiness of the venues where the work of the sections is planned.
The main organizational issues were put on the agenda of the meeting, which took place in the regional executive committee in a businesslike manner.
– Organizing such a large event is a complex matter, and therefore all details are worked out in advance. Today we looked at all the facilities and concluded that their preparation is proceeding successfully. I am confident that the Forum will be held at a high level, – noted Yuri Vorobyev.
According to Sergey Khomenko, the purpose of the current meeting in Vitebsk is to achieve a common understanding on holding the Forum.
– Everything is built from small things, it is important to give them the right cut, to do everything possible to make the Forum an important milestone in the relations between Belarus and Russia. The Year of Quality has been declared in our country, and we must organize such a large-scale event at a high quality level and achieve a good result. It is planned to sign agreements, contracts, and deals for a significant amount. – emphasized Sergey Khomenko.
Tomorrow, the joint meeting of the Belarusian and Russian sides will continue in Polotsk and Novopolotsk.
