BelAZ implements import substituting projects with Russian partners

On September 26, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko considered personnel issues and gave his consent to the appointment of Alexey Mikhailovich Geroev as Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, a member of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Alexey Mikhailovich Geroev was born in 1983 in Vitebsk. He graduated from Polotsk State University with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering (2009), and the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in Economics and Management in Industry (2014).

From 2003 to 2017, he worked his way up from an engineer at a housing and operational unit to chief engineer at the Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services Unitary Municipal Production Enterprise. In 2017-2018, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee.

From 2018 to 2020, he was the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk, and then until 2023, he headed the Administration of the Zheleznodorozhny District of Vitebsk.

From January to September 2023, he was Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Since September 2023, he has been Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
