Belarus’ grain harvest past 8.8mn tonnes

The progress of the implementation of the State Program "Comfortable Housing and a Conducive Environment" was reviewed at an open meeting of the regional executive committee.

The head of the region, Alexander Subbotin, noted that the consolidated target and target indicators for the northern region for the first half of 2024 are quite high. However, the topic remains relevant: the quality of work of regional and republican authorities can be judged by the level of comfort of citizens' living.

 

– The indicator of the accessibility of housing and communal services is the timeliness and completeness of their payment by consumers, which is directly related to their cost, – explained Yuri Dyadyolo, head of the main department of housing and communal services of the regional executive committee. – According to consumer spending statistics, this item accounts for 5.2% of the family budget, which is quite comparable to spending on culture, recreation, and sports. Obtaining information and communication is more expensive.

Special attention was paid to Beshenkovichi, which was transformed for the 1st stage of the regional festival-fair "Dazhynki" and is ready to receive guests. The head of the district executive committee, Galina Unukovich, noted that the modernization of the urban settlement is the result of joint work of residents and authorities.

– Comfortable sidewalks, renovated roads, buildings, educational institutions – all this has made life in Beshenkovichi more comfortable, – states the head of the district. – Residents did not stand aside, on their own initiative they improved the adjacent territories and put things in order – for this they deserve great gratitude.
