Belarus raises oil transit tariffs on 1 February
Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Sergey Levkovich, held a personal reception of citizens at the regional executive committee.
Residents of the northern region approached the Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Sergey Levkovich, with pressing issues, complaints about the inaction of responsible services, disagreements with decisions made, and personal matters.
For example, for a year now, residents of house No. 59 on Lenin Street have been struggling with their basement being flooded with sewage. Periodically, the smell of feces can be detected when approaching the entrance. People call the "115" service, the housing and maintenance department, and the emergency repair service. Some work is being done, but the problem is not being solved. Residents of the neighboring house, No. 61, also approached the President's aide with a similar complaint. Sergey Levkovich instructed the city authorities to thoroughly address this issue.
“I have been approached more than once about flooded basements in different districts of the regional center. Serious measures must be taken to prevent such complaints,” noted the Assistant to the President.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Alexey Geroev, explained that starting this year, the "Basements" program will be implemented. It includes 70 houses, and 3 million has been allocated for the work.
Individual entrepreneur Andrey Abramovich raised a relevant topic.
“Since 2019, we have been improving the beach on Lake Polonskoye in the Vitebsk region. We have cleaned the bottom. We provide various services: gazebo rental, banana boat rides. Our services are free for children from the local school. Many people come here to relax. On sunny days, over a thousand people gather on the beach. This is according to data from OSVOD, which has set up its post here. And now they want to lease the lake, make entry paid, and claim everything that we have done over seven years,” the entrepreneur said.
