Press secretary: Belarus doesn't seek mediating role in Ukraine conflict but offers support
“I solemnly swear!” – with these words, new recruits of military unit 5524 took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland and the Belarusian people in Vitebsk, at the Square of the Emblem and Flag.
Students of the military-patriotic club “Vityaz” also took their oath.
– The oath is an important component in the upbringing of the younger generation. Thanks to this ceremony, a conscript becomes a true man, a defender of his land, his Fatherland. It is gratifying to note that the oath of servicemen and cadets of the military-patriotic club took place at a new location in Vitebsk – the Square of the Flag and Emblem. This solemn moment will be remembered by the guys for a long time, – emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin.
The commander of military unit 5524, Colonel Alexander Usmanov, said that 55 conscripts and 32 contract servicemen took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland.
– The guys have already completed general military and initial military training. In the future, after completing the training camp, they will be assigned to units. Conscripts will be assigned to Vitebsk and Polotsk. Those called up for contract service will be assigned to Orsha, Glubokoye, Novopolotsk, and some will remain in Vitebsk to perform service and combat missions carried out by the internal troops in accordance with the law, – noted Alexander Usmanov.
The recruits solemnly swore to be loyal to the Belarusian people, to sacredly observe the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, to fulfill the requirements of military regulations, orders of commanders and superiors, to bravely and selflessly defend the independence of their country.
Among them is Farid Novikov, for whom the defense of the Fatherland is a sacred duty.
– Service in the army brings up real men, instills discipline, and improves physical fitness. Today is a very exciting and solemn moment for me and my fellow servicemen. Every man should go through this school, – shared the recruit.
