Belarus’ Defense Ministry to invite foreign observers to Zapad 2025
Today, a solemn presentation of new low-floor trams, which have arrived in the regional center for operation on city routes, took place in Vitebsk. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, employees of OJSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans" and veterans of the enterprise, the manufacturer "BKM Holding" and the company OJSC "Promagrolizing", as well as creative groups of the city.
The Deputy Chairman for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Nefedov, recalled that Vitebsk was the first city in Belarus where tram traffic was opened.
- Today, on the eve of the celebration of the 127th anniversary of the Vitebsk tram, we are witnessing a significant event for all residents and guests of the city, - he said. - We are launching a new generation of trams into operation, which differs radically from the previous series, both technically and aesthetically.
