The "Cherry Festival" has once again turned Glubokoye into a magical city filled with the taste of ripe and juicy berries.
The Queen of the "Cherry Capital" has combined fairy tale and reality into a single event, filling the celebration with a variety of contests, concerts, and meetings. The festival has been loved by Belarusians and has found friends beyond the country's borders. Delegations and creative groups from the Tambov and Smolensk regions of the Russian Federation, Georgia, Latvia, Armenia, India, Korea, and Japan arrived in Glubokoye.
Life has shown that one day is not enough for such an event. Therefore, this year it began on the eve of the weekend. The youth forum, which was attended by representatives of the younger generation from eight districts of the region, marked the start. And the first topic for discussion was "The Significance of the Festival Movement in Promoting Brands, Establishing Partnerships, and Preserving Cultural Traditions."
The youth planted a cherry orchard on the territory of the Cherry Queen's residence and became the first visitors to the exhibition "Traditions and Culture of Japan," displayed in the exhibition hall of the historical and ethnographic museum. The "Cherry Queen" herself received guests at her residence, where she answered the questions of curious visitors about the history of the festival, its traditions, what would surprise them this time, and invited them to get acquainted with the works of local artisans at an exhibition held in her estate. Meanwhile, the artisans themselves, not only from Glubokoye, who are engaged in willow weaving, gathered for an open-air painting session.
