Minsk to host 2nd International Electoral Forum in October
The competition is aimed at supporting innovative and socially significant ideas in the fields of urban environment, youth policy, volunteering, architecture, creativity, sports, and others. Its organizers are the regional Association of Local Councils of Deputies and the Youth Council under the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.
A total of over 30 youth projects from cities and districts of the region were presented. The participants faced a difficult task – to present their brainchild in just three minutes and convince the competent jury, headed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, that their initiative is the best.
– This is the first project designed to give the most active representatives of our youth an opportunity to express themselves, to voice their ideas in the field of developing their small homeland, – noted Dmitry Demidov. – We did not limit the themes of the initiatives so that the young people could fully realize their potential, talents, and convey their vision of what is happening in the region, make proposals aimed at improving work with youth, and feel like subjects of the processes taking place in our region.
