MTS and infrastructure operator beCloud have completed the jubilee, 20th stage of fourth-generation network expansion since the beginning of the year. Since early November, an additional 146 sectors at 66 LTE base stations have been activated in all regions of the country.
In total, the work covered 30 districts and almost 50 settlements, including Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, and other cities. Special attention was paid to agro-towns and small villages. More than half of the new sectors operate in the 1800 MHz range, which provides an optimal balance between data transfer speed and coverage area. Of the 66 base stations, 43 operate on MTS infrastructure, including the transport network, power supply, and the poles themselves. This allows not only MTS subscribers but also other operators to use the capacities within the framework of the country's existing 4G network deployment model.Reference: MTS is the largest telecommunications operator in Belarus by subscriber numbers. MTS is the leader in mobile communication quality in the Republic of Belarus based on the results of the 3rd quarter. The operator's network has the highest final integral assessment based on measurements conducted by the state regulatory body for telecommunications - the enterprise "BelGIE". This is evidenced by the data from the monitoring of telecommunication service quality as of 09:00 on November 14.
