Paradigm shift: MP details law to transform tourism into economic engine
To prevent accidents and exclude extraordinary emergencies in the Vitebsk region, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, A.M. Subbotin, signed the order "On ensuring safe working conditions in the winter period" on January 9, 2026.
The document states that the chairmen of district and city executive committees, heads of state bodies, organizations, and economic entities are instructed to carry out a set of measures from January 14 to February 13, 2026, aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, preventing and averting accidents, with particular attention to preventing the adverse effects of low temperatures at workplaces, increasing labor productivity and performance.
Heads are personally responsible for organizing work on clearing snow and ice from roofs of houses and buildings, territories, and communication routes; ensuring timely gritting of territories with anti-icing agents; and inspecting ventilation systems and thermal curtains. In case of detection of facilities in a dilapidated state or posing a danger to others, their operation is to be immediately suspended.
Representatives of control and supervisory bodies are instructed to intensify efforts to suppress violations of labor protection legislation, paying attention to compliance with the requirements of Directive No. 1 regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages in work collectives.
