New minister sees room for improvement in Belarus’ social sector
Currently, a seminar for the parliamentary corps of the Vitebsk region is being held at the "Shumilino Central District Hospital" on the topic: "Social State – the Belarusian Model of Well-being".
The key theme of the current seminar-meeting is dedicated to the results of the charity events "Our Children" and "From the Whole Heart". Initiated by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko, these events have been helping children and the older generation feel care, attention, and the approach of a real holiday for many years.
Gleb Lapitsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, General Director of the State Institution "Center of Culture "Vitebsk"", addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech:
– We need such seminars to be filled with information from the first persons, from the leaders who oversee our social sphere. Because the social state is the brand of the Republic of Belarus that can overcome any criticism and negativity that we sometimes encounter both during personal receptions of citizens and during election campaigns.
And in order for us to be informed, we need to see for ourselves how the heads of structural divisions work on the ground, know about the problems firsthand.
The second point is that local deputies should know each other better, so such meetings are a good idea and practice.
