Belarus, China to step up cooperation in standardization
During the inspection of the Armed Forces' readiness, the implementation of the experience gained from the Russian special military operation into the training programs of the Belarusian Armed Forces is being checked. This was stated to journalists by State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich following a report to the head of state, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"We focus on how the experience of the special military operation has been integrated into combat training, what forms and methods (are being implemented. - Ed. BELTA). For example, marches are carried out by small groups. How are combat operations conducted today? By small assault groups," said Alexander Volfovich. "If earlier marches were undertaken by companies or battalions, now small groups move on the battlefield."
According to the State Secretary of the Security Council, during tactical training control sessions within the framework of the Armed Forces' readiness inspection, the personnel's ability to operate in small groups – in threes or fives – is also taken into account. "During control sessions, we observe how commanders utilize the experience that we have implemented and outlined in the training programs of our Armed Forces," he emphasized.
Alexander Volfovich noted that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is also interested in the use of the special military operation's experience during the readiness inspection. The President also focuses on the personnel's ability to fight in forests. "We have forested and swampy terrain. And in the military unit being inspected, a training area has been equipped on the training ground for personnel training in actions in forested and swampy terrain. Targets have been set up in the forest, shelters have been made, revetments have been dug... In these conditions, personnel perform firing tasks. With live ammunition, not simulated," added the State Secretary of the Security Council.
The ability of military personnel to detect unmanned aerial vehicles and work with UAV detection equipment is also being checked. "How to inflict fire damage on a quadcopter or other aerial vehicle using small arms – attention is also paid to these aspects. The personnel's ability to counter other modern means of destruction is being verified," concluded Alexander Volfovich.
As reported by BELTA, a large-scale inspection of the Armed Forces, ordered by the Head of State, began on January 16. Alexander Lukashenko is personally monitoring its progress. A new system has been developed whereby the President, bypassing the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, brings military units to combat readiness. The primary goal of such an inspection is to see an objective picture. This is precisely why the measures are sudden in nature.
