Latvian journalist: Travel restrictions won't stop Latvians from visiting Belarus
Under the President's initiative "One District – One Project," a young construction company has opened a sawmill in the urban settlement of Lelchitsy, creating 20 jobs. Last year, the company earned over $400,000 from exporting lumber and timber abroad, accounting for 12.5% of the region's exports.
BELTA correspondents visited an urban settlement in the Gomel region and, at the woodworking shop of OOO "LelStroyGarant," met with the head of the department, a mother of many children who seamlessly combines work and maternity leave. They also learned why some employees of the local PMK-103 always take their passports with them when going to work, and visited an agro-town where 224 out of 354 children are raised in large families – that's two out of every three.
