In 17 districts of the Vitebsk region, ice fishing bans have been introduced

Over the past day, in the Bykhovsky district of the Mogilev region, thin ice has already claimed the life of a young man born in 1988, who decided to test the first ice.

To avoid becoming a victim of thin ice, remember that ice on rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water becomes strong only during the period of complete winter freeze-up.

Ice at least 7 cm thick is considered safe.
