A delegation from the Rossony district, led by the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies G.A. Fyodorov and the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee L.B. Trashchenko, took part in the IX regional patriotic event "Victory Breakthrough" in Ushachi.

A delegation from the Rossony District, led by the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, G.A. Fyodorov, and the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, L.B. Trashchenko, participated in the IX Regional Patriotic Event "Victory Breakthrough" in Ushachi.

The events of the "Victory Breakthrough" patriotic campaign brought together over five thousand people – honored guests, local residents, delegations from all regions of the Vitebsk Oblast, as well as from the Pskov and Smolensk Oblasts, and twin cities of the Ushachi District from the Russian Federation.

In the spring of 1944, 16 partisan brigades broke through the encirclement with extremely heavy losses. More than 15,000 civilians emerged from the cauldron along with the partisans.

In memory of the heroic battle, flowers were laid at the memorial, and the memory of the heroes and civilians was honored with a minute of silence. For many Belarusians, this feat became a symbol of the unwavering spirit of the Soviet people.
