Blue fuel provides people with warmth, comfort, and many other pleasant emotions. However, safety regulations are mandatory for everyone.

 

          1. How to properly use gas appliances?

          Use only serviceable gas equipment.

          Do not leave gas equipment operating unattended, and do not allow the flame to be blown out or extinguished by liquids.

          Do not allow children under 12 years of age, or individuals who cannot control their actions, to use gas equipment.

          2. Why is regular maintenance of gas equipment necessary?

          For the safe use of gas in everyday life, not only knowledge of the rules but also the serviceability of the operated gas equipment plays a crucial role. To prevent tragic situations, periodic maintenance of in-apartment and in-house gas equipment must be carried out.

          3. What are the consequences of unauthorized work on gas networks?

          As a result of unauthorized connection of gas equipment, there is a high probability of gas leakage, and consequently, an explosion and fire hazard situation. Furthermore, unqualified installation (of a water heater) can lead to hydrate blockage: water entering the gas distribution network, and interruptions in gas supply to the residential building. This, in turn, will require serious and costly emergency repair work, with possible replacement of gas pipeline sections.

          Failure to comply with the requirements of the Rules for the Use of Gas in Everyday Life is grounds for termination of gas supply and bringing to administrative responsibility under Article 21.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus.
