Information for individual entrepreneurs

From October 1, 2024, the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated April 22, 2024 No. 365-3 "On Amendments to Laws on Entrepreneurial Activities" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) came into force.

In accordance with Part One of Article 12 of the Law, individuals registered as individual entrepreneurs before October 1, 2024, have the right to continue carrying out activities not included in the list determined in accordance with the second paragraph of Part Two of Clause 1 of Article 22 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus until December 31, 2025. The specified list is determined by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated June 28, 2024 No. 457 "On Types of Individual Entrepreneurial Activities". Activities not included in the specified list cannot be carried out as an individual entrepreneur from January 1, 2026.

In this regard, the Law establishes the right of an individual registered as an individual entrepreneur to establish a commercial organization founded by one person in the manner prescribed by the appendix to the Law, unless otherwise provided by Part Two of Article 14 of the Law.

An individual entrepreneur also has the option to contact a notary to submit documents for the state registration of commercial organizations.
