1. How to properly use gas appliances?

Use only serviceable gas equipment.

Do not leave gas appliances unattended while operating, and do not allow the flame to be blown out or flooded with liquids.

Do not allow children under 12 years of age or persons who do not control their actions to use gas appliances.

2. Why is it necessary to regularly maintain gas equipment?

For the safe use of gas in everyday life, not only knowledge of the rules but also the serviceability of the gas equipment in use plays a crucial role. To prevent tragic situations, periodic maintenance of in-apartment and in-house gas equipment must be carried out.

3. What are the consequences of unauthorized work on gas networks?

As a result of unauthorized connection of gas equipment, there is a high probability of gas leakage, and consequently, an explosion and fire hazard. In addition, unqualified installation (of a water heater) can lead to hydrate blockage: water entering the gas distribution network, and interruptions in gas supply to a residential building. This, in turn, will require serious and costly emergency repair work, with possible replacement of pipeline sections.

Failure to comply with the requirements of the Rules for the Use of Gas in Everyday Life is grounds for termination of gas supply and bringing to administrative responsibility under Art. 21.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
