President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demands the establishment of a clear personnel management system in the regions. He stated this during a working trip to the Gomel region, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The Head of State has repeatedly emphasized this issue, both during visits to agricultural lands and at a meeting with regional activists.

"An iron dictatorship is coming! You've sat in Minsk for too long. We hold a meeting in Grodno - the government is completely detached from the governors," said the Head of State.

The President stressed the importance of personnel discipline. It is necessary not only to demand but also to develop the necessary regulatory legal framework. Negligence and sloppiness should not go unpunished.

"Such a system must be developed if we do not want to fight like they are fighting in the south. We need regulatory legal acts. So that it is in the law. You break the law - you're out," said Alexander Lukashenko.

At the meeting with the region's activists, the President gave an example that he has a personnel register and approves the appointment of a number of managers, including chairmen of district executive committees. And they cannot be dismissed without his knowledge. The same applies to a certain list of personnel - it should be at the regional, district level, and further down the vertical, all the way to the machine operator.

The Head of State emphasized that among the reasons for certain shortcomings are those that depend on people themselves. "This is what we call 'razbеshchannast', in Belarusian. Sloppiness, criminality, theft. All of it together. And it seems no one is held accountable. But accountability must be enforced. And the issue of creating a personnel management system has arisen again," he noted.

At the meeting with the activists of the Gomel region, Alexander Lukashenko said that the Presidential Administration, which is authorized to deal with personnel issues, was previously instructed to create the legislative basis for the relevant system based on the idea voiced. "I will check whether this is true or not. And report to me in the near future. And the government and governors will face ironclad accountability. I will not repeat myself 10 times. We have reached a point where: the President comes up with an idea, sleeps on it, so to speak, conveys it to everyone, and then has to do it himself, while we watch from the sidelines. Guys, that time is over. Understand this finally, if we don't do it now, our children won't do it. They are different," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko urged young people not to take offense at his words, including those who were present at the meeting. However, he stated that among the youth there are, for example, those who "think that apples and pears grow on the internet." "They sit and poke at this phone - and everything will fall from the sky tomorrow. We have spoiled them to the extreme. Oh, our youth is good, good! Yes, good. But they don't want to work and don't know how. They won't do it, they won't keep the country," he emphasized.

"Thousands of questions. And a system needs to be developed everywhere. Especially with personnel. I've said it ten times," the head of state added.

The same applies, for example, to land reclamation. Systemic work is needed so that the funds spent are not simply buried. "We found this money. We could have built so much housing with this money and solved some other issues... So take care of it. This is how it's done in the best farms. But why isn't this happening in the east of the country, or in the center - in the Minsk region?" Alexander Lukashenko posed the question.

Summing up the meeting, the President once again drew attention to discipline and personnel management.

"Personnel decide everything. A leader must have power, iron power. And they should not look back at anyone. No law enforcement agencies should interfere with the leader managing their territory, enterprise, and taking measures. The measures must be military, the harshest. Do not wait for separate instructions. And at the core of everything is discipline. If there is no rock-solid discipline, all this is empty. We will spend money and we will devour ourselves, grind ourselves: I will crush you, the governor will crush his subordinates. Therefore, a certain discipline must be established," the head of state demanded.

"There should be no livestock losses, no theft. This is where law enforcement officers will be held accountable, especially the police," the President warned.
