Lukashenko urges to preserve a peaceful Belarus for future generations

One must live in such a way as not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to preserve a peaceful Belarus for children and grandchildren. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on September 12 during the ceremony of awarding state decorations, a BELTA correspondent reports.

The Head of State emphasized that the day of reunification of Belarus, its eastern and western parts, September 17, 1939, became a symbol of our national unity, timeless. "But this experience tells us that it is no less important to be together in peacetime. To work for the benefit of our people and the Fatherland," Alexander Lukashenko noted.

"And one must live in such a way as never to repeat the mistakes of the past, to be strong in the face of new threats and challenges of the time, to preserve our peaceful, amazingly beautiful Belarus for children and grandchildren. One must live in such a way that neither you nor those who come after us will be ashamed later," the President stated.

"Thank you for everything you do," the Head of State thanked.

Alexander Lukashenko congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday - the Day of National Unity and the well-deserved awards.
