Lukashenko shared details of recent talks with Putin in Sochi

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with the Governor of Russia's Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, shared details of his recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is currently paying serious attention to its defense complex, a focus driven by recent events in the region and the world. "We, together with our elder brother (referring to the recent negotiations between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia in Sochi. - BELTA's note), have agreed on how we will act in Belarus. Of course, we are not announcing this publicly. Our recent negotiations on your land were dedicated to defense and security," the head of state stated.

In this regard, he emphasized the importance of joint actions to reduce the likelihood of escalating challenges and threats: "Ukraine is just the beginning, these are the 'flowers.' The 'berries' may await us ahead if we do not mobilize and show them that there will be consequences. What concerns us, and Russia as well, the most is Poland, and behind Poland stands America. They have decided to destroy everything that exists here, primarily the European Union. The main foothold is Poland. In 2020, they wanted to join us there, to make us a dividing line between Russia, the East, and the West. But it didn't work out. Therefore, we are now paying great attention to defense."
