PM: Belarus is contributing to food security of Vietnam

Belarus contributes to strengthening Vietnam's food security. This was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a meeting with Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"Belarus contributes to strengthening Vietnam's food security by supplying fertilizers, both potash and organic. In early November of this year, an agreement was reached on establishing an enterprise for the production and distribution of organic fertilizers in Vietnam," the Prime Minister noted.

"Active supplies of food products and foodstuffs to your country are being carried out. Based on the results of 9 months, their export exceeded 7 million dollars. This is, of course, not enough. I want to inform you that last year, the export of food products from Belarus amounted to more than 8 billion US dollars. We are one of the world leaders in the production of dairy and meat products, in the first place," Roman Golovchenko said at the meeting.

"We also see great prospects in organizing supplies of meat products and meat (beef, pork, poultry, offal) to Vietnam," added the head of the Belarusian government.

At a meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart, Roman Golovchenko spoke about the decision made to build an enterprise for the production of dairy products from Belarusian raw materials and using Belarusian technologies in Hung Yen province, which was presented the day before at the production site "MAZ Asia" "MAZ Asia". At the moment, as the Belarusian Prime Minister indicated, it is important to pay attention to this project, which is significant for both Belarus and Vietnam, instructing to resolve all formalities related to the construction permit documentation in the very near future.

The Prime Minister also expressed the Belarusian side's interest in cooperation in the field of ecology.

"According to the information we have, based on data from the Ministry of Nature of Vietnam, due to the rapid growth in the number of cars and other types of motor vehicles in Vietnam, there is a need for the recycling of used car and motorcycle tires. We are ready to offer an economical and efficient solution for recycling both used car tires and solid municipal waste, obtaining secondary resources from them for the production of new products. Thus, Vietnam can take confident steps towards building a so-called circular economy, based on the maximum use of all types of secondary resources," said Roman Golovchenko, presenting the proposals of the Belarusian side.
