Belarus has increased customs duties on shampoos from the USA, the UK, and some other countries

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 16 "On the temporary establishment of import customs duty rates" on January 12. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

The document establishes increased import customs duty rates (35% of the customs value) on shampoos, hair care products, and dental care products originating from Anglo-Saxon countries (USA, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) until June 30 inclusive.

The decree is aimed at protecting the economic interests of Belarus and creates conditions for replacing relevant imports with goods produced in the EAEU.
