Spitsyn: Belarus is a real gem of the Union State

Belarus is a true gem of the Union State. This point of view was expressed by historian Yevgeny Spitsyn in the project "In Focus" on the BELTA YouTube channel.

"I am very glad that I finally managed to get to the Belarusian land, which is sacred to many of us. It would seem that Belarus is very close, just reach out your hand. But this is my first time here. True, a quarter of a century ago I passed through the territory of Belarus on my way to Prague. I spent a few hours in Brest for reasons beyond my control, and I had the opportunity to walk around the city," said Yevgeny Spitsyn.

Very recently, the historian noted, colleagues suggested he visit Belarus, to which he agreed with great pleasure. "I arrived on Belarusian soil with great enthusiasm. I have always treated Belarus and the Belarusian people with reverence and tenderness and considered it a pearl of our common history and our single state of two great peoples," added Yevgeny Spitsyn.
