Lukashenko heard a report from the head of the Minsk region on the progress of agricultural work

One of the topics of the working trip of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to the Smolevichi district of the Minsk region was agricultural work. This was reported by the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin, BELTA correspondent reports.

Mass harvesting in the region will be completed within a week. A yield of 2.1 million tons of grain, including rapeseed, is expected. Another 600 thousand tons of corn grain are also expected.

"As of today, 80% of grain crops have been harvested - 1.408 million tons, excluding rapeseed. Plus, 315 thousand tons of rapeseed have been threshed as of this morning. In total, we have 1.7 million tons. We will complete mass harvesting by the end of this week. Including rapeseed, I think we will have 2.100 million tons. This is without corn. About 1.8 million tons of grain crops and 320 thousand tons of rapeseed. With corn, thank God, everything is excellent so far. I think we will get about 600 thousand tons of corn grain this year," Alexander Turchin said.

He stated that the region is even ready to lend a hand to someone if necessary, on a paid basis, in terms of delivering grain to fulfill the state order. The region also fulfills the state order for malting barley. This, along with rapeseed, provides excellent financial results for the farms.

The head of state also inquired about the progress of construction and reconstruction of livestock complexes. This work in the Minsk region is expected to be completed within three years. "God willing, within three years," the head of state responded.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that discipline is important in everything, and there are still enough farms in the Minsk region that need to be brought up to a certain level. "So far, there is a mixed picture in the Minsk region. There are good farms - a pleasure to look at," the President said.

The liquidation of the consequences of the natural disaster in the Minsk region was also briefly discussed. The capital region was less affected in this regard than the more southern regions. Order has generally been restored, everything is being done within the established deadlines, and prompt assistance has been provided to people whose roofs were damaged.
