Lukashenko reproached the UN Secretariat for blatant bureaucracy
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking in Baku at the World Climate Summit, reprimanded the UN Secretariat for excessive bureaucracy regarding speaking time limits, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Since it is practically impossible to say anything within three minutes due to such excessive bureaucracy of the UN Secretariat, I will limit myself to just a few sentences," the head of state said.
The fact is that at the World Climate Summit, a three-minute speaking limit has been set for sessions with the participation of heads of state.

Alexander Lukashenko explained his position in a brief interview with journalists after his speech. He noted that the organization of the summit, hosted by Azerbaijan this year, is brilliant. "This is the only thing that can be assessed positively. But it is very expensive," he remarked.
Answering a question about his overall impression, the President said: "Disgusting. I spoke in theses because due to the excessive bureaucracy of the UN Secretariat, all of this is useless. What can you say in three minutes... Everyone reports how great they are. But it has gotten even worse. I mentioned three wars that pollute the atmosphere. They are suppressing the Houthis there for unknown reasons, there is a war in the Middle East (with great prospects for other countries to get involved), and a war in Ukraine. These are just the major ones. And there are more than 50 such conflicts. This pollutes the atmosphere above all else. I spoke about this in Dubai (at the previous similar summit a year ago. - BELTA's note)."
