Br680 thousand will be allocated from the President's reserve fund to encourage gifted students
Br680 thousand will be allocated from the reserve fund of the President of Belarus to encourage gifted students and pupils, as well as those who prepared them. The relevant decision of the special fund for the social support of gifted pupils and students has been approved by the decree signed by the head of state Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
In accordance with this decision, 26 grand prizes have been awarded with the presentation of the badge "Laureate of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Social Support of Gifted Pupils and Students" and 217 special prizes to the winners of republican Olympiads and competitions. 21 pedagogical workers will receive remuneration for their special contribution to the development of the abilities of gifted pupils and students.
In addition, 173 students and cadets of higher education institutions have been awarded the scholarship of the President of Belarus for excellent academic performance, success in research and creative activities.
The decree of the head of state is aimed at identifying and supporting the most motivated and gifted youth, creating favorable conditions for their successful studies, scientific and creative activities, and stimulating the professional growth of teachers.
