Lukashenko assessed Dynamo's performance in the KHL playoffs
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting on supporting physical culture and sports organizations, commented on Dynamo's victory match against CSKA in the KHL playoffs, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"It's too early. Very, very early. What happened yesterday is atypical for Dynamo Minsk. They can play excellently, and then fail the next day. So, we'll see what happens tomorrow. But the way you acted nobly in the third period... And CSKA are also good, they didn't break down an open door, they didn't try to win from scratch. And we didn't try to finish them off, to score," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
At the same time, the President recalled that in the second period, after taking the lead, the Minsk team relaxed. "This is unacceptable. If you're supposed to row with two oars, you have to row with two. And they already started playing with one hand on the stick in the second period," said the head of state.
As reported, Dynamo Minsk hockey players crushed CSKA in the fifth match of the KHL playoff series. The game took place at Minsk-Arena. Thus, Dmitry Kvartalnov's team took the lead in the best-of-seven series (3:2). The Dynamo players are one step away from a historic advance to the Gagarin Cup quarterfinals, and our guys will try to achieve it on April 5 in Moscow. In case of a loss on Saturday, the "Bisons'" opponents will return to Minsk for a decisive seventh game on April 7.
