Presidential Press Secretary of Belarus Natalya Eismont, answering questions from a journalist of the "First Information" TV channel, revealed some details of Alexander Lukashenko's international contacts on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Tajikistan, BELTA correspondent reports.
The day before the main day of the summit in Dushanbe, an informal dinner of CIS leaders was held in a closed format. "I won't tell you any specific details yet, that's what the backstage part, the closed part, is for," the press secretary said in response to a request to reveal details of the negotiations. She explained that at such events, presidents communicate with each other one-on-one, but in a broad format. "They communicated for a long time, very trustingly and in a very good mood. That I know for sure," the press secretary added.
The leaders' communication continued directly on the main day of the summit. Before its start, Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, and Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, had a conversation. "Our President and the President of Tajikistan discussed the entire range of key Belarusian-Tajik relations and issues that we have," Natalya Eismont noted.
"Communication with all other presidents, with the Prime Minister of Armenia, continued in the same way today. As is usual at major international venues, everyone uses this time to communicate with each other and interact constructively," the press secretary explained.
