Lukashenko: Tomahawks will not resolve conflict in Ukraine but will escalate situation to nuclear war

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard detailed reports from Prime Minister Alexander Turchin and State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich on October 15. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Prime Minister's report included current issues of the domestic agenda and interaction with Belarus's key partners on the foreign economic track. He also reported on the results of the meeting between Alexander Turchin and Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, held on the morning of October 15.

A separate and one of the main topics of the report was the work of Belarus's industrial sector as a whole. In particular, the decrease in production and export volumes in January-August of the current year (due to objective and subjective reasons), as indicated by statistical data. The President demanded that the Prime Minister seriously address the industry and pay attention to this area.

Following the results of the personnel day held on Monday, October 13, with the head of state, tasks facing the Belarusian light industry and specific enterprises with renewed leadership were also discussed in detail.

The main topic of the report by State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Wolfovich was the snap inspection of the Armed Forces of Belarus, which is being carried out by decision of the President. The report discussed the specifics of the second stage of the inspection and the initial results overall. It also touched upon the areas to which the President had previously demanded special attention: the use of drones and electronic warfare systems; the experience of the special military operation in Ukraine, which must be taken into account when training the domestic Armed Forces.
