‘Work day and night’: Lukashenko demands farmers finish fieldwork on time
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is orienting not to build what can be dispensed with today and tomorrow. The head of state stated this at a meeting on draft forecast documents for the upcoming year, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The President noted that new state programs will start working next year. The government has already formed their list, which will be considered separately. "Most of them are socio-economic in nature and are funded from budgets. But what is the basis of these programs? How was the need for resources determined? These should be real, practically applicable plans for a specific and effective result," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
"At the same time, I want to note, Mr. Prime Minister, I am sure he will fulfill it, he has been instructed not to engage in construction and creation of anything that we can possibly do without today and tomorrow. I see these offices, palaces in the regions. And something else. If you need to build, then include it in the program (include it. - Editorial note of BELTA)," the head of state pointed out.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, there are other areas where funds should be prioritized. For example, for the construction of modern complexes in agriculture for cattle keeping.
"Enough of these palaces and cultural facilities. It is probably more important to build housing for people. Do not scatter money that you do not have. Objectively assess the situation and stop the construction of all sorts of museums, rest houses, and so on. These should be utilized," the President noted. "We will build one museum - and the state, and charity will be there. All together.
