Situation in agribusiness, HR, president’s schedule in Krutoi’s report to Lukashenko
Some rectors, especially young ones, have gone astray and have resorted to anti-state policies, becoming "little tsars." This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on November 20, while making personnel decisions, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The Head of State approved the appointment of new rectors at two universities in the country. Sergey Kasperovich will serve as the Rector of the Belarusian State Technological University. Previously, he held the position of Rector of the Brest State Technical University.
Yuri Mashin has been approved for the position of Rector of A.A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University. Previously, he served as the First Vice-Rector of the Belarusian-Russian University.
Addressing the new university leaders, the President urged them to focus primarily on achieving concrete results, especially since they are educated and progressive individuals who should understand the requirements placed upon them. "Rector is a great position. One can only dream of such work. Everything is at your fingertips: you work with youth, you have intelligent, competent subordinates. Results are needed," said Alexander Lukashenko.
At the same time, the President critically commented on the behavior of some university leaders. "Some have gone off track. Especially young rectors. They have resorted to anti-state policies. They have become 'little tsars' there, in the university," he noted. "God forbid you get dizzy from success. There must be a certain policy. Otherwise, some say: 'The West is great, but our country is not.' And at the same time, all of you and those I am talking about (excuse me, I am not naming names today) received their education and became great here. Therefore, work honestly and carefully."
