Lukashenko appoints new finance minister
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has appointed Vladislav Tartarinovich as the Minister of Finance of Belarus, a BELTA correspondent reports.
Until now, Vladislav Tartarinovich held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
"He is a 'money man'. He knows financial work well. And I feel that it's somewhat cramped for him in parliament. This might not even be his place or his business. And I thought, let's try him in a specific, but familiar job. He comes entirely from this sphere – he worked in the Ministry of Finance," the head of state noted.
