On the morning of February 4, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard a report from the Minister of Emergency Situations (ES) Vadim Sinyavsky on the situation in the country amid intensifying frosts and on emergency response in connection with the prevailing weather conditions. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state was primarily interested in the operation of heating and water supply systems, especially for housing, economic facilities, and agricultural enterprises. One of the main tasks is to ensure prompt elimination of consequences in case of emergencies. The President drew attention to the coordinating role of the Ministry of Emergency Situations among government bodies in this process.

As the Minister of Emergency Situations reported, all issues related to eliminating the consequences of accidents at heating facilities across the country have been resolved. The elimination of accidents, as a rule, took no more than a day (with the exception of damage to a heating main in Minsk).
