President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko convened a meeting with the leadership of the Council of Ministers, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The agenda includes issues such as resolving the insolvency of organizations and the work of crisis managers, as well as additional measures to protect employees from non-payment of wages.
Discussing the issue of resolving the insolvency of organizations, Alexander Lukashenko recalled that a new law was adopted in this area two years ago, which was considered at the presidential level several times. "We have changed approaches to procedures, shifting the emphasis from bankruptcy to recovery and preservation of enterprises and, consequently, jobs. Report on how the innovations of that law have affected the reduction of unprofitability in the economy," said the Belarusian leader. "Are there any bottlenecks identified in practice that should be eliminated to further prevent bankruptcy?"
