Attention hunters!

From October 1 to December 31, 2025, in accordance with the Hunting Rules and Rules for Game Management, the autumn-winter hunting season for normalized game species opens, subject to permits for game extraction and corresponding hunting licenses.

Hunting is permitted for specific game species, including: elk, wild boar, roe deer, red deer, sika deer, fallow deer, mouflon – animals of any sex and age, by battue and with dogs during daylight hours, from ambush and by stalking throughout the day.

Types and methods of hunting: rifle hunting – by battue, from ambush, by stalking. Permitted hunting weapons: for elk, red deer, fallow deer, adult wild boar over 2 years of age – rifled hunting weapons with a muzzle energy of over 3000 joules, smoothbore hunting weapons using bullet cartridges, hunting bows and crossbows are permitted; for sika deer, roe deer, mouflon, and young wild boar – rifled hunting weapons with a muzzle energy of over 1500 joules, smoothbore hunting weapons using bullet or buckshot cartridges, hunting bows and crossbows are permitted.

Hunting dogs are permitted – breeds are determined by the decision of the hunting grounds user.

We remind you that during battue hunts, hunters are prohibited from:

- conducting them in conditions of poor visibility;

- entering the middle of the shooting line, including clearings or roads, or moving to the side opposite the shooters (positions);

- changing positions, independently choosing spots, and leaving their position before the end of the battue, except in cases where a hunter must provide immediate assistance to another person in distress;

- using semi-automatic weapons with a magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds, as well as cartridges for rifled weapons with full metal jacket bullets and for smoothbore weapons with round bullets;

- firing at game animals along the shooting line, outside their sector, after the signal to end the battue.

To ensure state control over compliance with environmental legislation during the autumn-winter hunting season, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus will conduct a special comprehensive event "Hunting" from October 1 to December 31, 2025.

This event is aimed at:

- strengthening control over the organization and conduct of hunts by citizens and officials of hunting grounds users;

- identification of cases of illegal hunting and poaching;

- improvement of forms and methods of interaction with law enforcement agencies and hunting grounds users, in order to remove illegal means of wild animal harvesting, including weapons and ammunition, from circulation;

- intensification of preventive work, including with the local population, in order to obtain information about illegal hunting, as well as the storage of illegal means of wild animal harvesting, with particular attention to voluntary surrender.
