Catfish fishing ban!

The Verkhnedvinsk Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora informs that, based on the Rules for Amateur Fishing and the Rules for Fishery Management, the catching of wels catfish is prohibited from November 01, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Any wels catfish caught must be released back into the water body alive and unharmed.

Administrative penalties for catching wels catfish include a fine of 10 to 30 Basic Units. Additionally, for each wels catfish caught during the prohibition period, the environmental damage caused is calculated at triple the rate and amounts to 12 Basic Units (504 rubles).
