The Republican Scientific Production Unitary Enterprise "Bel NIC "Ecology" (hereinafter referred to as RUP "Bel NIC "Ecology") is a leading enterprise providing comprehensive services in the field of environmental protection and nature management.

Its objectives, in accordance with the Charter, are to conduct fundamental and applied scientific research within the framework of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovative activities in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, ensuring environmental safety, as well as providing services in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, environmental certification and audit, technical regulation, standardization, and the application of best available techniques.

RUP "Bel NIC "Ecology" carries out the following activities:

– Certification of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in accordance with STB ISO 14001-2017 (ISO 14001:2015);

– Environmental audit;

– Provision of methodological assistance in the creation of EMS;

– Conducting training seminars on environmental protection and EMS in accordance with STB ISO 14001-2017 (ISO 14001-2015), a thematic seminar "State Statistical Reporting 1-waste (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection): analysis of errors and recommendations for their elimination," as well as in the field of greenhouse gas emission assessment;

– Research of the carbon footprint of products and offices;

– development of measures to prevent climate change, documentation for industrial accounting of greenhouse gas emissions;

– development of technological regulations for the use and (or) disposal of waste;

– conducting an inventory of production waste;

– development of production waste generation standards, instructions for handling production waste, and an enterprise environmental passport;

– analysis of enterprise documentation for compliance with legislation regarding waste management, with recommendations for eliminating identified discrepancies;

– analysis of waste generation volumes by administrative-territorial unit for the preparation of pre-investment documents in the field of waste management;

– development of technical specifications (amendments to technical specifications) for products, including those manufactured from municipal waste and production waste, with scientific and organizational support during state environmental expert review;

– development of documentation (including design documentation) for waste storage, use, neutralization, and disposal facilities, with scientific and organizational support during state environmental expert review;

– development of documentation for mobile units for waste utilization and/or neutralization, with scientific and organizational support during state environmental expert review;

– conducting environmental impact assessment (EIA) with report development, and support during public discussions of the EIA report;

– conducting strategic environmental assessment (SEA) with report development;

– conducting an inventory of atmospheric pollutant emissions; development of draft standards for permissible atmospheric pollutant emissions, and support

for obtaining emission permits and integrated environmental permits;

– dissemination of regulatory and methodological information on environmental protection and nature management (TKhP, EcoNiP, etc.);

– editorial and publishing activities (printing business cards, brochures, and much more);

– information services on technical regulation and standardization in the field of environmental protection and nature management (provision and updating of the list of TNPA);

– development of draft technical regulatory acts in the field of environmental protection;

– application of the best available techniques;

– provision of technical assistance in assessing the compliance (non-compliance) of technological processes (cycles, production operations), technological standards with the best available techniques for nature users.
