World Car-Free Day

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus traditionally supports the "World Car-Free Day" campaign, which is held annually on September 22.

Exhaust gases from motor vehicles contain toxic components such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, sulfur oxides, heavy metal compounds, and others, which can harm nature and humans.

In order to draw public attention to the problem of the harmful impact of motor transport on the environment, as well as to promote environmentally friendly modes of transport and a healthy lifestyle, the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection invites you to join the annual environmental campaign "Car-Free Day" on September 22, 2023!

The best way to contribute is to simply not use your personal vehicle! If you need to go somewhere, walk, ride a bicycle, or use public transport.
